For any business to continue prospering, it must grow, change, and evolve to adapt to new environments, and it must learn to deal with threats and take advantage of new opportunities.  Change is hard!  It requires being open to new ideas, changing old mindsets, casting off habits that no longer serve us, and developing new ones.  One of the laws of physics is Isaac Newton’s First Law of Motion, often referred to as the Law of Inertia: “An object will remain at rest, or continue to move with a constant velocity, unless acted upon by a resultant external force.”  This means that initiating new actions, changing direction, or ceasing an action takes an outside force to counteract the inherent inertia of the status quo.  In this edition of IMPACT Collision Solutions, we will describe how inertia may prevent collision centers from adapting to new challenges and circumstances.
