In Collision Solutions this month, we discuss The Future of Collision Repair.  Collision Centers are facing unprecedented changes and the resulting uncertainty.  The advent of ADAS has altered everyone’s game plan.  As a result, there will be fewer accidents, but repairs will be more costly and much more complicated.   OE manufacturers and insurers will continue to be more demanding as shops adapt to a greater need for OE approved repair procedures, certification, and ADAS recalibrations.  New repair skills will be required, stretching the existing technician force even more.  While all these raise the bar for collision centers, competition gets tougher as consolidators vie for preferred insurer and OE relationships, and the cost of doing business increases due to training and capital investment requirements.  With every challenge lies an opportunity for collision centers and distributors to work together to scale these hurdles and up the ante in terms of service and support to position themselves to profit from change.  Let us work together to meet those challenges!
